Strathclyde Country Park

Strathclyde Country Park is set within beautiful surroundings and is one of the most popular family attractions in the central belt of Scotland. The park has many amenities and attractions to offer including; international rowing competitions, music festivals, fireworks events, guided nature walks and various club activities. Ideally situated, with excellent road and public transport links this visitor attraction offers; outdoor adventure playgrounds, bike hire, fitness gym, watersports centre with cafe, conference facilities and watersports activities including our popular Funboats and watersports courses. 

Chatelherault Country Park

Chatelherault Country Park

The name is derived from the French town of Châtellerault. From 1591 it became the main residence of the Dukes of Hamilton.Historic Scotland began renovating the lodge in the late 1970s and a visitor centre was built to the rear. The ruins of Cadzow Castle lie above the gorge of the Avon Water, which runs to the west of the lodge. The bulk of the park lies along the Avon gorge, with woodland walks and cycle routes.  Two trains from Glasgow (via Hamilton) run per hour

Strathclyde Park Golf Course

The course is a 3113 yard, par 36, 9 hole course set amongst mature woods and parklands adjoining Strathclyde Country Park. There are a pleasant mixture of holes on this course, with some being relatively open and others requiring accurate shots to find the fairways and greens. The Starters Office provides a booking service and a small selection of retail goods and golf sundries. Changing and toilet facilities are available. Strathclyde Park Golf Course.

The Low Parks Museum is located in Hamilton and traces the local history of South Lanarkshire through numerous exhibits on provincial industries and events of local historical importance.
